Complaint Made to Comet
Brief outline of the complaint. I bought a 19" Monitor from Comet along
with their 5 year extended Warranty. When the Monitor became faulty I
phoned their Help Centre as instructed. It was agreed the Monitor was
faulty and would be replaced. Eleven days after the the Monitor was replaced
and given to me, I received a call from a Company called Maztec asking
for their Monitor back. At this time I had no contact from Comet regarding
any return or problem that would justify doing so. I am still waiting
written confirmation of what has gone wrong. By making inquiry's at my
own expense I have been told to return the Monitor and they would in turn
give me vouchers. Note, by accepting vouchers my warranty would be terminated. (Expiry date of my Warranty is 22.03.2007) I have refused to return the Monitor to
Maztec as I have accepted it under good faith from Comet as our Contractual
agreement deemed them to do. James Barclay
