Ben Lomond

Ben Lomond (Beacon Mountain) Height 3,195 Ft. (974 metres) distance 7½ miles (12 km).

The path up the Mountain is well defined and easy to follow, however conditions can change quickly especially in the winter. Prepare well and you should have a enjoyable day.

The day we went the conditions were far from perfect at the start but excellent by the time we reached the top. The start of the walk is at Rowardennan pier car park.

How to get there take the A811 from Stirling or A809 from Milngavie to Drymen then take the B837 to Balmaha. The road from Balmaha to Rowardennan is unclassified and ends at the pier car park. We climbed Ben Lomond which is a Munro on the 14th July 2002.
