Corrieshalloch Gorge and the Falls of Measach are 12
miles (19.3 km) South of Ullapool on the A835 Inverness
road.
The Gorge is a fine example of a Box Canyon and the views
are quite spectacular. The Gorge is about a mile long
and 200 Ft. deep, the Falls of Measach have a drop of
150 Feet. There is a viewing platform and a suspension
bridge over the Gorge adjacent to the Falls.
I remember as a 10 year old my father took me here and
the bridge was a rope and wooden slat type and boy did
it wobble and sway. The bridge here now is more modern,
but glad to say it still has a wobble if abet much less.
There is a car park across the road with well maintained
Public Conveniences.
