EMPLOYMENT HISTORY |
Capita October 28th 2002 - Present
Initially working in the Scottish Provident Self
Assurance new business team processing new applications
and chasing underwriting requirements. Many of the
tasks were sent offshore and I quality checked their
work and dealt with work items they could not action.
I became an experienced member of the team and was
involved in team quality checking and dealing with
complaints and escalations. The role required a
high level of accuracy while working under pressure
to meet targets and good communication skills dealing
with other departments and Financial Advisors.
Since February 2008 I have moved to Underwriting
providing admin support, my tasks include filing,
back scan, mail, faxes, photocopying, sending reassurance
replies and coding underwriting decisions. I have
also been involved with Telephone Interview's uploading
cases onto the Medicals Direct website and dealing
with queries. It is an interesting role where I
have learned a lot about underwriting and requires
good organisation skills.
Bruce Murray Recruitment March 6th 2002 - 25
October 2002
A temporary position working as an Administrator
for Britannic Asset Management in Glasgow City Centre.
The role involved issuing commission payments to
Agents and investigating un-presented cheques and
Direct Debit returns.
Learning IT April 2nd 2001 - November 30th 2001
Working at Scottish Power as part of the Final
Debt team in Credit Management. Here I was involved
in passing on accounts in debt to Legal Agents,
writing off ones not worth pursuing and calculating
the VAT reclaim on them. Also I answered queries
over the phone and by e-mail from the Legal Agents
which involved sending out copy invoices, finding
supply periods, checking on payments and passing
accounts being disputed to other teams to resolve.
